Art of Teaching Notice

Friends Seminary is proud to recognize Leana Phipps as the 2024-2025 Teri Hassid Art of Teaching Honoree. Leana has been teaching English for twenty-three years, twenty of them at Friends Seminary, where she currently teaches Grades 5 and 6. A native New Yorker, she was educated at Hunter High School, Wesleyan University, and Fordham University.
