Lifting the Overlooked

Stefanos Tai ’13, while working as commercial director in Hong Kong, used filmmaking to lift the approximately 200,000 Filipina domestic workers, who are overworked and often abused. In spite of their sacrifice and hardship, on Sundays, their day off, they dance joyfully in the streets. Stefanos sought to capture their beauty, grace and perseverance in his short film,we don’t dance for nothing, which combines still images with high-octane dance, all shot on super 16 film.
